Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which IMTR (Institute of Management Technology and Research) provides refunds for course fees and other services. We are committed to providing fair and transparent refund procedures for our students.

Please read this policy carefully before enrolling in any course or service to understand your rights and obligations regarding refunds.

2. Course Refund Policy

2.1 Full Refund Eligibility

You are eligible for a full refund under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation within 7 days of enrollment and before course commencement
  • Course cancellation by IMTR due to insufficient enrollment
  • Technical issues preventing course access for more than 48 hours
  • Instructor unavailability leading to course postponement beyond 30 days

2.2 Partial Refund Eligibility

Partial refunds may be available in the following situations:

  • Withdrawal within 14 days of course start (50% refund)
  • Medical emergencies with proper documentation (case-by-case basis)
  • Military deployment or relocation (75% refund with documentation)
  • Course content significantly different from description (up to 80% refund)

2.3 No Refund Policy

No refunds will be provided in the following circumstances:

  • Withdrawal after 30 days from course commencement
  • Failure to attend classes or complete coursework
  • Violation of terms and conditions leading to dismissal
  • Personal reasons not covered under partial refund policy
  • Completed courses or courses with issued certificates

3. Certification and Examination Fees

3.1 Non-Refundable Fees

  • Certification processing fees
  • Examination fees once the exam has been attempted
  • Administrative and registration fees
  • Material and resource access fees

3.2 Refundable Conditions

  • Exam cancellation by IMTR due to technical issues
  • Duplicate payment processing errors
  • System errors in fee calculation

4. Refund Request Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

  1. Submit a written refund request via email to refunds@imtr.edu
  2. Include your full name, student ID, course details, and reason for refund
  3. Provide supporting documentation if applicable
  4. Submit request within the eligible timeframe

4.2 Required Documentation

  • Original payment receipt or transaction ID
  • Medical certificates (for medical emergency claims)
  • Military orders (for deployment-related refunds)
  • Any other relevant supporting documents

5. Processing Time and Method

5.1 Processing Timeline

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 5-7 business days
  • Approved refunds are processed within 10-15 business days
  • Complex cases may require additional review time
  • You will receive email confirmation of refund status

5.2 Refund Methods

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Credit card refunds may take 3-5 additional business days to appear
  • Bank transfer refunds require updated banking information
  • Processing fees may be deducted from the refund amount

6. Special Circumstances

6.1 Force Majeure Events

In cases of natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events that prevent course delivery, IMTR will offer alternative arrangements such as course rescheduling, online alternatives, or full refunds.

6.2 International Students

International students may be eligible for additional refund considerations related to visa issues, travel restrictions, or currency exchange fluctuations. Each case will be reviewed individually.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may appeal by contacting our Student Services department within 30 days of the decision. All appeals will be reviewed by a senior administrator not involved in the original decision.

For unresolved disputes, mediation services may be available through our institutional ombudsman or external mediation services.

8. Changes to This Policy

IMTR reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to enrollments made after the effective date of the changes.

Students enrolled before policy changes will be governed by the refund policy in effect at the time of their enrollment.
